MALIBU CALIFORNIA
'KICKIN' AT LEO CARRILLO BEACH'
This is one painting in my series of Leo Carrillo Beach, located on the northern most edge of Malibu, California.
It is right on PCH. On the other side of the highway, is a campground. My husband and I love to camp there. When we were there one nice afternoon, I took a number of photos.
This scene with the beach chairs really caught my eye. The composition of what I found did not need to be changed much. All I did was take out a few items that were laying around.
This is a popular place for surfing because of the rock you see here in the water. It causes the waves to break, so the surfers get a longer ride.
