This is Naples, California. It is an island community connected by small bridges that often (just like it's Italian counterpart), you will often find couples in gondolas enjoying their romantic ride.
Located just South of Long Beach, my husband and I enjoy bicycle riding along the sidewalks that circle each one of these small islands. It was during one of these afternoon rides that I noticed all of these beautiful roses and knew they would make a wonderful painting.
