Huntington Beach is so well known for surfing that it is called, 'Surf City'. Old Woodie cars are such a part of
the surf culture in southern California, I felt it would be a great subject for this painting. After completing this painting, I decided to paint an entire series of Woodie paintings, 'Traveling California.'
